@willowstil maybe a little bit of luck may help too. Anyways, we already did our part, and now its UC’s job to do their job.
Also, a friend of mine who had a 3.8 GPA (CC student) and got in for UCLA and UCB for engineering last fall 2018. So I believe you definitely will have a better chance.
I have a 3.7 GPA and did TAP for UCLA and waiting to till the end of April.
Hopefully, we all will be able to hear some good news soon!
@GoodAfternoonSir My housemate’s mom is a freshman admissions reviewer for UC Santa Cruz. Basically there’s a team of well educated people they hire to read the essays, grade them on a rubric, and review the general application just to make sure they actually qualify for admittance. Multiple people view each application as to prevent “outlier” rankings. After that, the applications move on to the actual admissions team who makes the final decisions.
@butterflyclip some WAC major applicant got one Thursday around 3PM PST. Sadly, I didn’t get one myself so not expecting much from UCLA. But one could always hope for a miracle.
@butterflyclip I’m not in a position to say yes, but from what I’ve read from all over the internet, it’s a “likely” indication. Well thank you! I’ve also read that people could still get in without it and I’m hoping that could be the case. Are you a DMA applicant?
Hey guys, I applied with 3.67 GPA with TAP first choice English second American Lit. I have very prerequisite finished and my personal statements were very good in my opinion. What are my chances of getting in with any of my majors.
Hey everyone, did anyone check any sort of box on the UC App indicating TAP certification? I dont recall seeing anything to signal it and was told to write it in the “educational prep program” section. Did anyone do this? and will it effect anything? I signed my TAP form and everything.
edit: Spoke too soon! Found my answer on the TAP faq.
