Hey guys I’m curious what it says in your application portal, mine says “application received”
@uclahistory2020 hey maybe all this coronavirus stuff might make them more open to 3.9 I have no clue, I know that Berkeley give Regents to people with 3.9. I personally think it is dumb to rule out kids with a 3.9 if they have an impressive application but I am not the one making the rules lol.
For my essay the question was something like “what are you going to do if you go to UCLA” and basically I just wrote like very specific things that I would do that pertain to my future career choice and major. I made very clear to that I deeply researched the website and info on the school. This is because I think this essay’s purpose is to essentially to weed out the people who are not going to say yes to UCLA; so, that they do not waste the spot for Regents. So basically I made sure that they knew I was 100% say yes to UCLA and that I had a plan once I went there.
I just got my Transfer Regents scholarship invite and code. Does that mean I’ve been accepted?
I got the same email. It says it does not mean we got accepted but it is a good sign I think!!!
Aww, I wish I got that email. Congratulations you guys. I’m sure you’re both admitted.
So, is UCLA supposed to come out around the 24th?
OMGGG I GOT REGENTS INVITATION!!! Just got waitlisted at Berkeley and cried my eyes out for 30 minutes. I really saw myself going there and not to UCLA. But now I’m pumped that I got the email.
Econ, 4.0 GPA
Hey guys, I received a Regents Invitation but I’m not completely sure what that means. Can anyone share more information?
It means that if you write the essay and submit the application on the scholarship website, you will be considered for the Regents scholarship. It is the most prestigious scholarship that UCs offer, and, for UCLA specifically, it includes various benefits like a monetary scholarship ($2000 per year I believe), priority for registering for classes, guaranteed housing and parking, membership in the Regents Scholar Society, etc. There are more details on the UCLA website if you want to look them up.
whoever got the email, what was your gpa?
Is there any film student here? I got an interview the first week of April but not the Regents invitation yet!

honestly ucla is my dream school and I’m so scared for admissions next week. its come to the point where I have so much ucla merch from summer session and camps and visits that its become part of my personality. if I don’t get in I think Im just going to be sad AGAIN.
( I got waitlisted then rejected as a freshman last year, but I’ve been taking CC classes since junior year of hs so i will have about 95 quarter units by the end of spring)
just to add on – Regents isn’t a guarantee of admissions. There have been people who got a Regents notif in the past who got rejected (I’m sorry, I don’t remember my source for this information). However, the amount is so small that it’s an anomaly if you get Regents but get rejected from UCLA
@uclahistory2020 i have a 4.0
Even though based on my credentials I knew I wouldn’t get a regents invite I’m kind of scared lol. I know there is a very high correlation.
