@oceanman32 @ste1111 I got waitlisted from Berkeley also I think due to COVID-19 they will take a lot more off the waitlist.
we can only hope for now. Good luck!
I got into Berkeley Haas with a 4.0 GPA, but no regents code for UCLA.
@ste1111 I also did TAP and my sister got into UCLA with TAP two years ago. I definitely think it can help, but not sure how much.
What day are we shooting for next week? Wednesday ?
@uclashmeed No I did not I do not know any engineering major who received the code
@LEVITATE I think some people are guessing the 24th because last year’s decision date was on the 24th, then others are thinking Wednesday because the last two years’ decision dates have been on a Wednesday but I’m not sure that anyone actually knows
@ste1111 Hey! I’m also a history major and I’ve heard from someone who got accepted as a history transfer last year that pretty much any history majors who have a 3.75 or up are accepted, especially if you have TAP.
@ste1111 Also, I guessed decisions would come out the 22nd but I’m thinking it’ll come out Friday the 24th so that students have at least a week to apply for regents.
Last year regents emails were sent out the Friday before the decisions came out on Wednesday. So hopefully decisions will come out Wednesday.
@minami oh! I had no idea. Well I’m hopeful then!!
Aw Man, I wish they would just tell us the date. I can’t stand another situation similar to UCI’s release date, and Berkeley was very nice in giving a specific date.
Do you guys know what time they released at ?
according to last years thread they released wed the 24 at 5pm
Since 2017, transfer admissions were released on a Wednesday at around 5pm according to ca college transfer. com
how hard is engineering admissions
The decisions have been released on the fourth Wednesday of April at 5:00 PM for the past three years, so it makes sense we should expect to get them on Wednesday the 22nd. Here’s my stats for those curious, I received the Regents invitation yesterday. A couple friends from my college also got it and all of us are majoring in HSSEAS.
Major: Computer Science
GPA: 4.0 (both cumulative and major prep)
IGETC: Completed
Major Prep: Everything is completed or in progress
- President, founder, and organizer of a CS-related club
- Weekly volunteer as a middle-school student mentor
- Work ~20 hours/week as a tutor for math and computer science at my school’s academic success center
- Presidential Honor (3.5+ GPA for three semesters in a row)
- Used to work in a fast food setting
I don’t understand why they just don’t announce the day! Am I the only one who feels living in a weird world now?
Engineering is very competitive. Most people that get into HSSEAS as a transfer student have a 4.0 GPA and all of their major requirements finished. I’ve been to their events and spoken to their counselors and you really need to have an almost perfect application if you want a good shot of getting in.
My guess is they want to have the ability to be flexible - if something changes last minute, they want to have a day to be able to take care of it. It’s easier to just not tell us a date than to back out of one they’ve confirmed. It sucks for us, but that’s life.
guys can someone help me out. im a bio major with a 4.0, but i went to a UC first quarter. bio majors require a year of general chemistry but i have a quarter and a semester. im im ochem 2 right now, so i dont have time to go back and do general chemistry 1. what do you guys think, will it impact my decision?
Same here, CS GPA 4.0, got rejected by Davis, waitlist to UCB(=Rejected)
Since I don’t have any acceptance right now, I’m kinda freaking out that no UCS would accept me.
Life is no hard.
