idk how i got into berkeley but i did and now idk if that increases or decreases my odds of getting into UCLA what do u guys think

I’m kinda worried about my application. My freshman year’s GPA was complete trash because I was so overwhelmed. But I picked my GPA up last summer and fall but I don’t think that it is high enough to even be considered for UCLA. Also, I’m also worried about my major choice because it is a pre-major but I looked it up on the UCLA website and they said that if I get into the department, I will automatically be in the major without having to petition for it as sophomores do. But because of this, the major doesn’t show up on the admission stats website so I am super worried about my stats and ECs. (The pre-major I signed up for was Pre Human Biology and Society BS). Anyone else going through this?

@Azizyan hve they replied to ur email?

Hey guys, I keep seeing posts about interviews. I was never contacted for an interview. Is that for admissions or scholarships or what??

The closer we get the more nervous I get also!

Hi, new here! I am nervous about these decisions as well!!! I applied for the Public Affairs major, and was wondering if anyone else applied since its still kinda new??? I don’t think I’ll get in, but was just wondering if anyone had any info on the transfer acceptance rate for this new major.

@anahitsydney i think the interview is for film major only! But im not too sure

Oh okay, that makes a lot of sense. Thanks so much!

My gut feeling is that decisions will be tomorrow, hopefully I am right lol.

I just looked back on the 2019 thread and they were so certain the day before they knew. Also last year ucsb came out before ucla, and Sb comes out tomorrow… anyway as rly hoping for tomorrow but how can we be sure?

@Cole440 that’s my gut feeling too. for better or for worse ?

are there any other applicants to the herb alpert school of music here? i haven’t seen any so far… i applied to ethnomusicology myself

I put Public Affairs as my alternate major!

It makes sense they would come together. It’s the fourth Wednesday of April which has been the decision date for the past three years. Not to mention the “sooner than we think” bit from their instagram.

@herbidot i dont think so, as wouldnt that mean ucsd has to release same-day as ucla?

I dont think UCSD has anything to do with it, there was just someone on that forum saying that UCLA would be the 22nd.

Hi I applied for Public Affairs too!
Here is the link for the admission stats for fall 2019

Anyone applied to Communication??

@cccstudent32 Great, thank you!!! Hopefully this still being a new major maybe we will have a good chance at getting accepted!?! My CC Counselor did not know that this major existed until I asked about it.
