@zekogmo Hey there again. Are you certain you have all the prerequisites for UCLA or UCSD? Hoping you have better luck with them. I think you’re right; you shouldn’t worry about rejections from schools you were missing prerequisites for and UC B is very competitive.

I am currently waiting on USFca and NYU. UCLA is definitely my top choice though.

One thing I’ve learned from this admissions process is not to rely on past data to predict future outcomes for release dates and times. This year for all the schools release dates and times have been completely ambiguous and inconsistent with previous years trends. It could easily be today too
@tasha1508 Idk if you should message them. I called and it worked out for me. Granted I didn’t call UCI, I had previously done it for UCLA out of high school (3 years ago?)
However, from what I hear they should still be able to tell you. A handful of transfers from the 2019 threads did it. My boyfriend also called UCD yesterday and he was able to talk to a counselor and she specified why he was denied. Maybe UCI doesn’t do it or maybe you had bad luck.

@zekogmo That’s good. I really think you have a very strong chance for both schools. You’ve got an insanely good GPA. I would try not to worry too much, rejections don’t really mean anything bad if you missed prerequisites.
@hikashi I am a sociology major & UCLA has two requirements: Soc 1 and Stats. I am in the middle of stats right now because I didn’t see on Assist that they want it finished before the Spring semester. I called Admissions, and they said “It depends how competitive you want to be.” Apparently it could be a barrier, but you really cannot know for sure if the committee might include you for another reason or there isn’t an excessive number of applicants similar to you that are applying. I have just really, really prepared myself for the possibility of rejection knowing this haha. But, don’t lose hope my friend. In the end the places we get accepted to will be what is meant to be. Hoping someone could chance me… I know my major is really competitive and I have nothing but nerves right now. I also have a midterm in an hour and I’m too distracted for it…
Major: Computer Science
GPA: 4.0 (both Major Prep & Cumulative)
Major Prep: Currently taking Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, and Physics 3. All other required courses are completed.
Recommended Courses: They’ll all be done by the end of Spring semester.
Leadership: President of a Computer Science related club. Founded it and ran all activities for two semesters.
Volunteer: Mentor for middle school students in a program I won’t go into detail about for privacy reasons.
Work Experience: Fast Food, Tutor (Math and Computer Science), some other side gigs.
IGETC: Completed
Regents: Invited on 4/17 with code

I really don’t see the purpose in “chance me” this late. I get it’s nerve wracking to have to wait, but decisions will come out soon
I know some of you really want to go to a UC but have you considered out of state? I applied to a number of other schools and UTSA and u of Arizona both waived out of state tuition/gave me scholarships to cover it plus some. Could be a back up and not as competitive
