oh i read that letter a completely different way. i was thinking since they also said “Under normal operations, all new students receive priority for housing”
that means if it isnt remote, then us transfers are still guaranteed housing. only if we stay completely online for instruction, then we wont have guaranteed housing. but for uci, no matter what, we don’t have guaranteed housing.
Also Bus Econ here. What if I have prerequisites in progress? I have a 4.0, IGETC complete by the end of this semester, and TAP certification as well as Honors.
I had the same question for UCSB and was reassured but got rejected so I’m really nervous now that all my work is for naught.
I don’t follow any UCLA accounts on Instagram. This morning, the UCLA Judicial Board for UCLA undergrad requested to follow me. This very well may be a publicity thing, and I’m friends with some peeps at UCLA so they may be following me via someone else’s page…but could this somehow be a good sign? Or have I just totally lost it waiting for the decisions to come out? I NEED TO KNOWWWW
@ihatemylife123 I hear ya. But of course, luckily they won’t just be looking at classes but also taking into account other things. deep breath We got this!
@socalshehulk lol everyone is losing it these days! I wouldn’t consider that a sign as I’ve also had UCLA accounts follow me but they seem to be ran by people not connected to the admissions committee.
@socalshehulk tbh i dont think the people working the instagram page are the same people on the admissions boards
that doesnt mean its not a good omen tho
if You haven’t been to UCLA, I can confirm that the campus is the best campus on US soil. Great vibe, everyone is literally so welcoming and willing to talk to you. I looooove the UCLA vibe.
@cali2good that’s good to know!! I’ve never visited the campus or have been to Westwood at all. I’m from the Bay Area and I’ve been to cal so many times and Berkeley is just not my fit but I’ve heard Westwood is quite the opposite
Yeah, I’ve been to UCLA and I absolutely loved the campus. I hadn’t even been planning on applying before that trip. I do wish I could take an (in person) tour so I could get more info on housing, parking, campus life, etc. and ask questions. It is what it is though
as someone who took three (!!!) tours of UCLA and barely has any recollection because they were all years ago (going to school kinda near LA will warrant many field trips), I can tell you that it is the most COLLEGE campus I’ve visited. like it has that college feel. not sure if that makes sense.
You guys should try to watch some vlogs (i.e. Day in the Life of a UCLA Student) on youtube and see if that’ll help! It’s not much, but it’s better than the photo “virtual tour”. You can also see how you will spend your day, but remember, everyone has a very unique perspective.
