not really a helpful answer, but a friend of mine who’s a 4th year transfer from CSU Fullerton got into the film school after being denied 2 years ago. he waited. applied again, and now he’s having a blast. just shows it’s not impossible.

@Lexapower: Monday the 18th, still no word from UCSC. (and of course haven’t heard anything from UCLA)

Well they have until April 30th to let you know. I can’t imagine you not getting into UCSC as I’ve never even heard of anyone being rejected from that school as long as you have at least a 3.0 and have completed IGETC (general UC requirements that you would need at any UC).

You can always apply to CSUN as a backup. They won’t take you into the film production option since you missed the portfolio deadline but you can apply as “Pre Film” and then apply for film production option next semester.

I have not heard from UCSD yet or CSULB so schools are still deciding. Don’t lose hope yet on UCSC.

Finally got accepted by UC Santa Cruz. (and got an official denial letter by LA) phew. Now I have to check out the campus and see way it’s like. Anyone else hear back?

*see what it’s like
