My daughter is filling out the portfolio portion of the UCLA film school application - there is an optional resume section. Can she include her SAT score on her resume if CA schools are SAT blind? Will it look bad to include it? She did really well and would like to include it but is conflicted. Thanks!
My question would be, if she was filling out a job resume, would she list her SAT score?
According to the UCLA website and the optional resume information should include: A listing of any relevant courses, workshops, awards, internships, and practical experience you have had in film and film related areas. Include a title and description of these activities, the name of the venue and the appropriate dates.
It is interesting because when my kids were in HS, the resume format the school encouraged them to use included the name of their high school, dates attended, expected grad date, honors/distinctions, GPA and SAT/ACT scores. The suggested format was intended for summer internships, jobs, honor societies, etc. and not specifically a college application.
The format that was suggested was:
School
Address
Unweighted GPA/Weighted GPA
Test Scores
Honors/Distinctions
Class of 20XX
I do not work in admissions but my personal opinion is that I wouldn’t worry about it looking bad. If they don’t need info from the resume, they will disregard it.
