Should we apply right away so we get good housing? Or does it not really make a difference and as long as we apply before June 1st we're good? I'm not SURE I'm going to UCLA yet, but I'd say the odds are above 70% so it might be a good idea to just get set up for housing...

i heard it doesnt matter whether you apply may 1st or may30th as long as you apply before their deadline everyone has a fair shot at getting what they want.

^
are we sure about this?

this site says: “Most transfer students who live on campus will be assigned to triple rooms.”

makes me want to consider off campus even more

Housing is assigned by lottery and you need to get your application in before the deadline to be guaranteed.

^

but it’s not time-sensitive, right?

no its a lottery that they do after june 1st, and release your assignment on like june 3rd…they are quick

Well I highly doubt they go through about 20million housing apps in two days right? I mean if they have a pile of housing apps sitting there waiting to be processed before the deadline… It can’t hurt to turn it in early.

Just get the housing application in before the deadline and you should be fine.
