The course website says:
-You will be staying in Reiber Hall this summer. Here is a link to UCLA Housing website for Reiber Hall.

But in the recent email we got, it stated we’re placed in Saxon Suites

ya, the recent email said Saxon Suites, so I think that’s where we’re staying. Any other OOS participants?

Hmmm I also think it’s the Saxon Suites… Have anyone made a fb group yet? It might be easier to talk via fb

Yeah they updated the website, it’s not Rieber anymore but Saxon. Well, anyone know what Saxon is like?

Just to clearify, do we check-in at Rieber?
http://map.ais.ucla.edu/go/1001645

^ya, we check in at rieber still. apparently saxon “suites” are a bit more spacious.

Hey everyone! https://www.facebook.com/groups/413819701989881/
join!

in case u guys didn’t notice, in the recent email regarding final hssrp housing info…

WE ONLY GET 15 MEALS/WEEK.

Bring an extra $500 for meals then, and they’re not going to be fancy ones.

Or, you can play the Ramen card and eat cheaply… but you’ll be sick of noodles for the rest of your life; which isn’t good considering how you still have college ahead of you.

everyone should join the FB group downtown SF created.

btw, i asked mr. herrera, and apparently we won’t have time for lunch on weekdays, so that’s why we have less meals.

Hi, can anyone who was admitted into HSSRP last summer post their stats and extracurriculars? Also, what was the program actually like? atmosphere, activities, life while staying there etc.

Thanks!

Yes. I was thinking of applying to the program, and that would be helpful

@TennisDude Last year I think they had ~20% acceptance rate (300 for 60)

Yeah I heard the acceptance rate is quite low, which is only to be expected from a program like this.

Does anyone know what the essay questions are, or do they change from year to year?

Uhh…The application is already out. I don’t know if they “essays” change, and I’m not sure that matters either.

Here’s the link, you can find it under “Paper Application”

https://esc.seas.ucla.edu/mod/resource/view.php?id=224

I’m a bit confused. Is HSSRP a free program? It says there’s a 4,500 cost for out of state, but I live in California. If not, what are some other good free options?

anyone heard results from this year? They were supposed to come today.

No response today for me.

me neither
i think what they do is accept people in a series of rounds
so the people who are amazingtastical got in today

Anyone get news today?
