Do you feel that it is necessary to have sex for a romantic relationship? Or do you believe that it cheapens the emotions felt?

At what point in the relationship does one use the term love?

And, what does the word love mean to you?

ETA

No, Narcissa and I are not having problems.

I just want to have a place for this sort of questions and wonderings, to know what other people think.
I have a feeling that there will be other questions.

i try not to use that word love. It symbolizes too much to be used... in everyday vocab. I mean, what is love? Baby don't hurt me... no more!

Is sex necessary? No, but is it fun, yes! I mean, if it's fun for both of you, why the hell not?

e.g. "Hi I really like you"
"I like you too, and I like sex"
"What a cowinkydink, sex is enjoyable to me as well!"
sex

Personally, sex is a very important part of a romantic relationship. Love is what you make of it. Everyone can have their own definition of it. But regarding sex, to me, it strengthens a bond between two people in that sort of relationship if it is in a healthy and respectful way.

Love. I dunno why, but it's always the guys who say it first to me. Sometimes not even a week since we "get together". I hate it when they do that. I think it should be used when both people are ready, 'cos "I love you" is such a turn-off when you think you're still in the "fun" stage.

Also, I'm one of those chicks that will dump a guy if he won't put out. Or cheat on him. If I was a dude and I said that, damn I'd be attacked. But I'm a chick. So it's okay. :P

I hate thinking about it too.
Which is why I don't think about it.

Agree with namaste... work > everything else. . .

And thus type like this: aodoaishduisahdiausdhiusada
...OK, not really.

I love you Hibiscuspink. [/manly deep voice]

Exiting the fun-stage... requires a good amount of tears if you're an emotional person... several fights that detox the relationship... or just a big fight usu. over something stupid so that the r-ship does not end... more tears... and a good amount of your life history revealed esp. w/ v. vulnerable, personal, and potentially tear-jerking details.

Love, huh? Way too easy to get into mushy details here.

But, I think it's just when you can find a person, whom you can randomly call up and just go somewhere to have fun. A person who you can talk to about anything, and whom can keep up interest in the conversation.

I guess you could consider that as a friend, but that person can also make you miss her a lot when you're away. And she can make you smile, whatever the occasion.
