UCLA math (pre) major

I am filling out TAPS and all of the mathematical majors at UCLA only have a -pre option. For instance there is no mathematics, but there is mathematics (pre). Does this mean I can’t be a regular math major at UCLA if I transfer through TAPS?

UCLA admits by pre-major. So if you get admitted into the Pre-Math major, you will be a Math major. It’s just a technicality - the major is Math.

http://catalog.registrar.ucla.edu/ucla-cat2016-524.html and https://www.math.ucla.edu/ugrad/majors/math-major indicates that the UCLA math major is slightly restricted, in that a 2.5 GPA is needed to declare the major.
