I am having a really tough time deciding between UCLA and UCSD. I got into the honors program at both universities, and got into sixth college at UCSD. I live in LA so UCLA would be very close to home, maybe a bit too close. I also have learning disabilites and trouble with writing essays and stuff, but I realises that no matter where I go I can’t really get outta those. I am also worried about the size of the UCs, and am thinking that maybe SD’s six college system would make it seem somewhat smaller. Unfortionatly I don’t really know much about the math departmet at either school, and I have to make my decision by the end of this weekend so that if I decide on UCLA I can write my essay for the honor’s program. Any information would be appreciated

Both programs are in the top twenty. UCLA has more undergraduate students so research oportunities might be easier to find at UCSD. If it was me I'd go to UCLA but both schools are good in math so if you want to go away from home you can't beat UCSD.
Some good info on the departments is at http://www.math.ucla.edu/grad_programs/intro/intro.html, http://www.math.ucsd.edu/about/brochure/math_brochure.pdf

I think through the honor's program it might be easier to find research oppertunities at either school
