I have been admitted into both UCLA and UW. I also got into the Foster School of Business' Freshman Direct program. I really really like the feel of UCLA and absolutely love southern california, but the out of state tuition is sort of a detractor. For business, which university would be better? I know UCLA has no undergrad business school but it does have a Major program called Business Economics which is very similar.

I am still undecided which would be a better fit for me. If money was not an issue I would choose UCLA hands down, but is 20k$+ extra per year to attend UCLA instead of UW really worth it?

Opinions please!

I'd definitely go with Brown...you can't escape the fact that it's an IVY and it just places so much better into MBA programs..

woah just a side note i didn't know UW was brown... i thought it was washington or something

Go to UW. You're not guaranteed a BizEcon degree here and you're already in the business school! You're in Yuppie city in Seattle - you're set. I have friends doing business at UW and they're on a feeder pathway to the grad business program at UW. I'm here UCLA OOS and sometimes, I wish I had gone to UW even though I **ing hate Seattle. OOS is **NOT worth it. If you're going to blow all that $$$ at least go to a private school and get your $$$'s worth. At UW - you'll get recruited more for programs in Seattle whereas here... it's kinda a mixed bag.

What about UCLA doesn't make it worth it for OOS? Is it better, just not 30,000$ better?

^ yup pretty much

Save your a ton of money...I would go with UW

btw UW is not brown...-_-

UW's a great public school as well. You'll get a similar education sort've. That and if you're worried about $$$ - OOS is a terrible decision.

UW is not brown?!?1

***omgz, for REAL!?! I swear there's a B in UW you can't see it?!!11
