Is anyone else going to be there on wednesday?!

yeah buddy

what are you guys bringing?

■■■■■ 201!

I will! I am excited! I don’t think we need our transcripts or anything for that matter… Just an ID, right?

Yea, i think so. Hopefully we’ll all get the classes we want!

Yesssss, I hope so too! Good luck! I am looking at what to take now.

Probably just a backpack with water and a notebook or something. I don’t think anyone should bring their laptops because i believe we sign up for our classes on our orientation counselor’s computer. That, and the fact that it’s probably going to be hot lol

la4ever09: You’re right! No laptop for me! We sign-up for classes towards the end of the day and we do it in a computer room. From what I remember at my friend’s orientation…

haha yeah.

I WISH I could attend session 201…friggin’ MyUCLA and its “you have to log out then log back in lol sorry” crud. Ah well, let us know how it goes!

Oh and la, did you ever switch into History?

anybody get an email from their oc yet?

i emailed the history department counselor a month ago. He said we can switch. All we need to do is go to the history department group meeting during orientation and we could switch there.

I have the first orientation session (201) on wednesday so i haven’t switched yet! lol

Yup, I know! I emailed him too lol except I was impatient so I went to see him in person and he switched me right there and then. One less worry, eh?

haha that’s good. how long does it take for the history department to switch you in and do i have to go to my old major’s department to switch out or does the history department take care of that?

I can’t believe orientation is tomorrow already!!!

Has anyone received an email yet? I still haven’t

Bring

transcripts

a laptop

ID

Also no one has received an email from their new student advisor yet.

@la: I was in the counselor’s office for maybe 10 minutes - 15 tops. He basically switched me into pre-history, gave me a list of classes I need for the major, and told me that all the paperwork and such for both my DPR and major switch should be done by my orientation date, and if not, I should go to the history major gathering anyway.

I’m guessing the bureaucracy will take care of switching you and informing your old major and all that seeing as to how he didn’t mention it.

He did mention something about “the admissions office usually wants you to be a ucla student before you switch, and seeing as to how you’re not a student just yet they might give you some problems. But in the end I’m the one who approves your major switch, so if anything comes up come back and see me”

I’m going to assume that’s not a big deal and the whole “you have to be a student” thing is only a formality.

Seeing as orientation for you guys is tomorrow, has anyone’s DPR updated with your CC classes and whatnot?
