UCLA Plaza housing for freshmen (please help!)

I just got put into SV (triple, private bath) as an incoming freshman. I was a teensy bit disappointed since I was hoping for a more social dorm, and kinda confused because I put plazas near the bottom of my rankings when I applied for housing. Anyways, I have a few questions:

  1. Are freshmen in plazas put together on the same floors? I want to meet other freshmen and not just upperclassmen.
  2. I know plazas are less social than halls, but how much less social are they?
  3. Is is easy to make friends with upperclassmen as a freshman?

Please share your experience if you’ve been in the same situation! Thanks!

Hey, I’m also wondering the same as I’ve also been placed in a triple with private bath in SV. But if you look on the facebook page there are quite alot of other freshman that have been placed in SV.
