Hey, just wanted to start a thread to see who had to report changes and if they had heard anything yet. Because Im on the quarter system, when I updated my application I had not registered for spring quarter classes. Due to full classes and such I was not able to stick to my planned schedule. I don't think it will be an issue, but we'll see.

Also, I got a confirmation E-mail saying that they recieved my update, but unlike other threads I've read, my acceptance page still says "Congratulations" not "We have recieved your update" And the e-mail left off the last letter of my last name, so im wondering if that might be why. Im at UCLA every tuesday anyways, so I guess I'll just go stop by.

Same exact situation...i sent mine the day after i got notified...28th i think...I haven't got any reply yet. I will let you know when i get any replies. Please let me know when you get a reply.

blackdream, whats ur major and are you from out of state? that sounds interesting, how can you have no igetc? just curious could you please explain.

I had to send in a schedule change to them a few weeks ago -- no indication they received it. Sent it again. Still nothing -- but I haven't been notified of my admissions status by them, either.

I emailed and called UCLA today to see what they thought about a withdrawal and they say that they strongly suggest that we stick to the classes we said we were going to take. He said "It is our
policy to not comment on "what we would do, we cannot guarantee that coursework changes will not affect your original offer of admission. So good luck if you Withdraw, maybe after this I won't.

I had to report changes to UCLA, UCSB, and Berkeley. The only live person I spoke too was someone at Berkeley, and she was not at all concerned that I had to withdraw from a class. She was more worried that I would not make the min 60 units to transfer (which I will). I think as long as:

(1) The course was not required for your major,
(2) Not required for IGETC, and
(3) Not needed to make up the min 60 units required for transfer

then you should be just fine. After all, things happen in life that you cannot plan for.

Anyway, those are my 2 cents (and what I tell myself to not freak out about my changes.

Oh yeah, and my many counselors at my college, including the UCLA peer advisor told me it shouldn't be a problem.

WOW! I dunno but that doesn't sound good. I dropped three classes from my origional plan (none of which would affect me IGETC wise or unit or any other way for UCLA all three were requirements for UCSB from which I was rejected and saw no need to complete those courses, I regret not finishing them they were easy A's but I assumed my unit count would be dangerously high... 92 total units so far)

Oh god! I wish you the best I hope they don't mind, I was going to drop a class but now I don't think I will what if I my acceptance get jeopardized? You should call them to see if they already have an answer.

Yes definately I will report my changes asap if it helps any of you in some way. I have already sent in my SIR, my passport photos for my bruin card, paid my deposit, scheduled my tour, rsvp'd fro AAP scholar's day all I need is this final hurdle and I'm home FREEE!!!!

I just feel like UCLA was trying to scare people. Personally, I really DO NOT think it would be a big deal for us to drop any classes that are not required by your major or in the IGETC.
I think as long as we make everything done like sending the pictures for the ID card, paid the deposit, they have no reason to revoke any applications.

(Poor me, still waiting for UCLA's decision. Damn!!!)

I sent my schedule change in to UCLA about 3 weeks ago, and then resent it this week. It doesn't affect my unit total or IGETC certification. Never got anything back from them as proof that they got it/reviewed it, though.

I am still pending on their website -- I guess my question is, if I get accepted, and the acceptance date on my letter of admission is long past the date I sent any of the emails to them, do I re-email this to them or just let it slide? Can they still threaten to revoke my admission? I feel like I notified them as soon as this change happened, and in time for it to be considered (if necessary).
