so when do i find out that they decided i don’t deserve as much aid as they originally thought?

that was my tactic! Now you’re vulnerable!

slap again.

ecullen - The blue & gold thinngy requirements say: “For eligible students, Blue and Gold Opportunity Plan will cover $10,302 in systemwide fees with combination of grants and/or scholarship funds.”

So I’m assuming it is combined with your Scholarship Recognition Award…I could be wrong.

one in the nut sack

/fight

i win.

Do you know what you say to win an argument?

“You… have something… stuck in your teeth…”

mckman - After you SIR and supply all the required docs to FiAid, then They’ll email you with the exact amount…

the UCLA scholarship recognition award is just the extra grant that u get to cover all ur tuition and systemwide fees, otherwise known as the BLUE AND GOLD opportunity plan. if u make 70,000 or less and if ur pell/cal grants don’t cover ur fees, this is there this “scholarship” kicks in. it is NOT merit based.

that’s what I thought. Thanks.

@ihateceltics

But is says on my letter that I got in the mail that

“The UCLA Scholarship Recognition Award is both an academic merit and need-based award; therefore, you were evaluated on your history of academic excellence as well as information submitted on the FAFSA”

edel - LOL I say gosh your breath smells…and they shut up…

@ecullen: yes. that confused me too. but they’re just saying that. i compared my award amount with my friends and all the people on this board and there was no correlation b/w GPA, academic accomplishments and the amount u got for this “scholarship”

Dammit!! So I’m not special? Fack!!!

WAIT! Vu T Tran said that i ‘bring an impressive array of strengths’ to my academic endeavors, and that i was intelligent, imaginative, and energetic! i think it’s definitely merit-based. pffft, how couldn’t it be? ;)

It is merit based.

Can someone tell me what the difference between the cal grant and cal grant is?

^
…uhm…? Did you mean A&B?

lol oops i meant pell grant and cal grant x)

pell grant is federal aid. cal grant is from California

I got into Berkeley! :)

To think I was so worried last night!

I have not receive my scholarship recognition award yet!!! mail I already received admission packet last week. Who else has not receive it? I applied for financial aid and they estimated my scholarship award to be 3300 something:. Seriously, anyone stil hasn’t receive theirs?
