110+ with the same email. I feel either they’ve made a mistake on sending the emails, or they messed the whole thing up by asking a large portion of students to waste time and money doing duplicated English check. Hope they can change their mind soon, and at least have a look at TOEFL scores before sending requests?

I got the email and have a 114 TOEFL score. I don’t get why they’d need this. Not really interested in spending 50 bucks on a test that’s going to prove nothing about my knowledge of the English language…

I clicked on the hyperlink they gave us, and it seems like an average TOEFL exam, but designed by a third party… I am very confused

Is it a bad thing that I didn’t receive this email? I had 100+ and 26+ subscores on the TOEFL.

I had 104 on the TOEFL but my essay score (of the SAT) is pretty low so I think I am gonna take their test. But it doesn’t make sense…
The good point is that being requested supplemental information from UC’s means you’re still considered.

@TunisianToUSA I had a 19 on the essay part (I know there are way better scores)…
And yes, I hope this is made to get a better idea of the student, not to earn some extra money

115 on TOEFL and did not get anything yet. I think they either ask everybody to take it or it’s completely random.

Someone should call and ask what’s the point of taking the test if you scored well on the TOEFL.

I really don’t get the point. I got a rather high on toefl. Also, I got a predicted grade of 7 on English Language and Literature(as I am an IB student). Are both proofs from the school side and the public test agency side not reliable enough to prove my English ability?

I just got it too. My score is a 104 (26, 26, 27, 25)

I received it and got a 7 in IB english HL and a 7.5 in Ielts. Also my schools gpa is 92/100 and have really strong extracurriculars. Why I got this?

Have you guys tried the practice test on the Duolingo website? (it takes like 5 minutes.) And it is so freaking weird.

What were your SAT scores??? I got a 1400 in the new sat and got 1950 in the old one.

I’ve also received this email and I have a pretty decent Toefl score. I called the admission office and they said this was sent to a “selected few”. hmmmm… Can I interpret this as a potential interest?
