UCLA switch econ major to similar major

After looking over so many people who failed to transfer to UCLA in Bus econ major,
I wonder if I can transfer as a Math econ major and change major after I get into UCLA because the admitting rate is much higher than bus/econ?

Does anybody know the admitting rate for both bus/econ and math/econ?

Is it possible for me to do so?

Can someone please answer my question, I would really appreciate it ! THX!

I’ve heard changing majors as a transfer at UCLA is more troublesome than at Cal, but don’t quote me on that.

Read the very bottom.

Also, admission statistics for both majors:

0 chance to do a change of major into Bus econ, econ, communication and the other popular majors at UCLA

Thanks alot. I think I’ll just stick with bus Econ then…

not true, it can be done. I am a transfer admit (also bizecon reject) but TAP got me in. Econ counselor said it can be done, it’s just very very hard.

So you also apply math Econ for your alternate major? But did you complete all of the prerequisites? Because I think I will only complete 2 calculus courses when I transfer at junior level.
