@Philosoup okay that’s the thing though! It’s like not a mirror image! because of that damn W! they’re going to receive my transcripts and i’ll be screwed.

@LAforlife okay that doesn’t sound too reassuring. lol

@iDizzle Yeah, I’ve submitted everything. The only one that I need to send again for Final transcripts is Pierce College. Ugh, if I don’t get rescinded for this, I’ll probably get rescinded for getting a D/F in Speech 101… lol

Well, the unreported “W” shouldn’t be a problem. But if you failed a class, that’s a totally different story.

lol yeah, that’s like one big challenge I’ll have to face. Speech 101. It’s like the dumbest class I’ve ever taken; so, I pretty much refuse to show up there everyday… such that i skipped on a few speeches already. lol

■■■. So basically, if I don’t get rescinded for this unreported W, I’ll get rescinded for failing a dumb class that I don’t even need for UCs. I don’t even know why I added Speech 101 (actually I do, it’s a requirement for CSUs).

Ya sorry, can’t reassure you as far a failed grade goes. Pass it (or drop it) if you still can.

@LAforlife NOOOOOO I can’t drop that s**t anymore. It’ll be straight up a fail now.
Maybe I should beg the professor to give me an “I” grade? lol

Lol yeah right…

Me: “Professor, I was wondering if you can just not give me a grade for this class.”
Prof.: “Yeah, for sure, no problem. I’m also a leprechaun and all you have to do now is find my pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.”

Talk to the professor to see if you can make up past assignments or something. UCLA is generally pretty strict on passing all your classes. Unfortunately, all I can say is good luck. If it doesn’t work out then just take the class again and pass, and apply again next year. I’m sure you’d get re-accepted, but would have to pass that class one way or another.
Don’t worry about the “W” though.

@orgasmic: I’m kind of in the same boat as you right now. I’m taking java programming and it’s totally kicking my ass. I’ve held on all semester but I’m slowly losing my grip and theres only 3 weeks of class left. I’m only taking this class for freaking UCI too and I’m not even going there anymore!

@iDizzle I think you’ll be fine since you’ve held on for a while. I haven’t done anything for that Speech class. Plus, for you, it sounds like a legit hard class. For me, it’s like Speech 101, which to everyone, sounds like a cakewalk. I just happen to have the one professor who is super strict and anal about everything.

So, I just wanted to let y’all know that I called Undergraduate Admissions and the guy said it’ll probably be okay. Supposedly, a red flag only gets raised if it’s a major prerequisite or an IGETC requirement or something. The guy told me to report it on the online circumstance application; but, I won’t know for sure until 15 days from now though. I just hope I sent in the right application. haha

@LAforlife I talked to the professor and she’s letting me turn in missed work. YESSS.

HELLO MATH 125 IS INTERMEDIATE ALGEBRA, ITS NOT TRANSFERABLE!!! you did not make a mistake because its not even listed as an option on the application! So dont worry!

@orgasmicDANGER

NICE! Make the most of it, you just got a miracle lol.

@kyokoloco I mean yeah, it’s not; but, I still don’t want to lose UCLA to something dumb like that!

@LAforlife well, honestly, it wasn’t that much of a miracle because she said I would only get half credit, which would mean the best grade I could get in the class now would be 90%. Seeing as though idc about speech lol, I’ll probably get maximum a C now. But at least I’ve got a chance! Woohoo! Lol

Well you only need a C. Who cares if it’s not an A or B at this point, when UCLA is is waiting lol. :)

Uggghhh… I still won’t be able to grasp the idea that I’m going to UCLA until I’m at my first class at UCLA in Fall. I seriously just have a weird paranoia that all of this is just an illusion, or that it would all just vanish instantly through an admission rescission.

Idk. I just want to go to UCLA now so I can believe it!

Just pull out a C at the very lowest. Think of UCLA when you’re doing stuff for that class lol.

I got this email today:

Dear Bruin,

We have reviewed the information you recently provided on your Provisional Problem Form and determined that your admission offer stands…

THANK GOD, not that I believe in an/some anthropomorphic deity/ies. lol

:D Nice! Now just make sure you get at least Cs in all of your classes, and you’re good to go for UCLA.

i feel like they sent me a generic message though. “Dear Bruin”… really? haha lol

lol, ya what did you expect. But the important thing is that they were ok with it, right?
