I'm a freshman at Chico State and I really want to transfer to UCLA for junior year. What gpa would I need and what about extracurriculars? Will it be more difficult considering I am from a state school? Any info will help guys!

4.0 is a good start and what major. It would be EXTREMELY diffcult since some of the classes you need at Chico won’t transfer to UCLA and your also of the last priority .

C.C student first—UC to UC/OOS school–you

I think you would be better off transferring back to a CCC, because UCs give them priority. Plus, some CCCs have the TAP agreement with UCLA, where you take certain classes and have a high chance of getting in, but not guaranteed like TAG agreements.

What if I was part time at chico and then took a few units at a CC. Would that give me a higher chance. I was about to transfer to a cc for my sophmore year but I was told not too so it would really be a shame if it came back to haunt me.

transfer to a cc. only a full fledged cc transfer status will help you transfer to the likes of ucla.
