In my contract, it said something like this..

Complete Coursework Requirements
Complete the following course pattern with C grades or better: two [2] transferable courses in English composition; one [1] transferable course in mathematical concepts and quantitative reasoning; four [4] transferable courses in at least two of the following subject areas: arts and humanities, social and behavioral sciences, physical and biological sciences by June 2009.

What is social and behavioral sciences? I took econ and psychology.. are those social and behavioral sciences?? I didn't take any classes in the arts and humanities subject area.. but i have a lot of classes in the physical and biological sciences..

psych, socio, anthro other than physical, mass comm, ethnic studies, are all examples of classes that can fit into social and behavioral sciences.

arts and humanities can be qualifed with classes such as music, art, philosophy, some history classes, etc.

Either way youll need all of these completed to be IGETC certified, so if you havent already completed these you will have to eventually.

I am a UC student and I didn’t finish the GE requirements in my school. When i was filling my application, it didn’t say like… which classes will satisfy the social and behavioral sciences so i was guessing that psychology and econ are those and I already finished those classes. I took a lot of physical and biological sciences classes because they are my major classes. So based on the contract, It should be ok right? cause i have 1 class (psychology) in the social and behavioral sciences and 3+ classes in the physical and biological sciences. Based on what i put on the application, they should know if i completed that requirement or not right? if not, they won’t even accept me… so should i just send my SIR and go to UCLA? or should i call to make sure?

well seeing as your accepted, just submit your SIR and run with it, im thinking those classes your missing will have to be taken there, but im not sure, but since your accepted you should be fine.

UCLAtransfer. Will you have finished all your GE requirements at your school by before you transfer?

UCLAtransfer, yes psych and econ fall under social and behavior sciences. so your good to go!

what about getting a NC grade in a IGETC class like biology if thats the last one I have to take? Can the class be retaken in summer or taken in ucla?

chesser! long time no hear man, where u been. heard u got into ucla; am i gonna bump into u on campus?
