UCLA? UCSD? UCB? Stanford? UCI?

<p>Hi! I'm a junior (i go to a public but one of the top 50 high schools in the US) I've been wanting to know for a loonng time how are my changes into getting to schools like UCLA, UCSD, UCB, or UCI or stanford... or any other ivy league?</p>

<p>gpa so far (counting ninth grade)- weighted: 4.7 unweighted:3.8
(However, I have received B's in some of my honors math classes :( and in AP bio last year) )</p>

<p>(i took 1 ap sophomore year: biology-4, 2 junior year (Environmental Science and English Lit), Next year I am planning on taking 5 AP's: Government, Calculus AB, Chemistry, Computer Science, English)</p>

<p>I am hoping those senior AP's can cover the fact that I did not take many AP's my junior year... do u think thats worth it?</p>

<p>sat 2080 (I am planning on taking it again and aiming for at least 2100)
sat II japanese 780, Biology 710, Math IIC (results awaiting)</p>

dance team 9,10,11</p>

<p>asb (student council): 9,10,11 </p>

<p>scientific research: 9,10,11</p>

<p>I will be an Editor in our School Newspaper next year
- my writing has been submitted into my schools annual literary magazine</p>

<p>Performing arts club: 9
european culture club: 11 (haha, even though i'm not european)
writer's circle (club): 11</p>

<p>I'm also in the California Scholarship Federation (CSF) and National Honor Society (NHS) and have been on Principal's honor roles all three years so far</p>

<p>I am the webmaster of 2 clubs/organization at our school, and I am planning to help maintain my school's website next year</p>

<p>and i have good spelling... (that was a joke :) )</p>

<p>also, since I got Straight A's freshman year, do u think that will help my transcript in the tiny"est" way? (even though many colleges say they don't look at ninth grade grades)</p>

<p>I know my resume is far from perfect. .. and recently my parents have been quite.. lets say, let down and hopeless, of me ever going to an ivy league. </p>

<p>but I just want to see if i have the slightest chance of going to a good college?</p>

<p>What's your UC gpa? It can't be a 4.7 because they only take 8 semesters worth of weighting? Freshman grades don't count, and neither do senior grades, but I think they will see the fact that you're taking APs.</p>

<p>hrmm... I just took that weighted GPA from my "unofficial transcript" my school counc. gave me this year. So I guess it's not the UC GPA, I will go ask my school counc. tommorrow to see what I have.</p>
