UCLA Vanpool for the Summer Quarter?

Anyone know if the vanpools run over the summer quarter? I don't see the information on the vanpool site.

Yup. They do. I rode the vanpool for two summers.

How do you find out where they go? Any that go to the SGV over the summer?

Vanpool Map

Tons go to SGV, but they're pretty much packed if you don't reserve a spot before school ends. Otherwise, it sucks if you're not guaranteed, since you might have to wake up at 5:30 and end up not getting a ride to UCLA.

how early can we reserve a spot? I called and they said to call back again 2 weeks before the day I need the vanpool. But when my roommate called they said it was already full for the summer. Does it really get full easily in the summer? And do I really have to wait till just 2 weeks before I need it?

Depends on the location. There are already regular riders during the year. Also, not that it's not only students who ride the vanpool. There are university staff who ride too and they have the priority.

2 weeks before you need to ride should only be what you do if you want a short-term vanpool (or one way/one day). Let the person know you need it for the whole summer, if that's what you want.

If the vanpool is full for the summer, try another one. You know, there's a lot of locations the vanpool picks up from.

What about for the Fall quarter?

The vanpools run year-round. However, it probably is a bit early for signing-up for one for this fall... You may have to wait until August/early September to sign-up...
