hey seniorsfo,

to be honest, it really depends on you…

if you’re in a financial problem, i would say go to UCSD. However, I dont recommend it if you are able to afford the other schools.

if you’re a gregarious person, i would say UCLA… (no offense to those UCB peeps, but UCLA has more activities to do…)

lastly, if you’re a person who values his/her academics, UCB should definitely be the top choice.

In my opinion, UCSD is good for engineering and other academics, but the people their are very conservative. There is no division 1 sports, so the social life is kind of dull. When i visited there i saw like 4 booths for abstinence clubs on the side walk giving out pamphlets. There are lots of conservative republicans that live in la Jolla that get the university to track down on loud parties so they can sleep. Not saying its a bad college at all, hell its #3 public in America! But if your looking for the social scene of college you see in the movies and on TV, you won’t find it there.

For UCLA or Berkeley, i got into both and am leaning slightly towards UCLA because its quarter system and slightly easier to get a higher science GPA, which is critical for med school admissions.

What is your major?

UCLA Aerospace Engineering
UCSD Aerospace Engineering
UCB Mechanical Engineering

I would pick Berkeley unless the UCSD scholarship is a big enough factor.
