<p>Hi everyone, as early applications are coming soon I have narrowed my list down to a few schools. One of those schools is UCLA. I am from New Jersey and have only visited the school and attended a college meeting at my school for it. I would really love to go there but I don't know if its worth the time/money to apply if my grades aren't good enough. If anyone could tell me, based on my grades and ec's bellow if I could possibly get into UCLA. Keep in mind that I am out of state.</p>

3.53 unweighted GPA
31 ACT's
Senior year
2 AP classes: biology, macro economics
Every other class is honors besides Spanish
Junior year:
All honors.</p>

<p>Extra circular:
Certified EMT (emergency medical technician) for towns volunteer first aid squad.
School newspaper editor
Nationally ranked tennis player (*next to college means I could play for team)
School tour guide
Peer leader
Jazz band saxaphone section leader
Varsity tennis captain, varsity cross country member
Job at jewelry store</p>

<p>Do not need scholarship money.</p>

<p>UCLA: reach
your GPA is too low for UCLA. Look into UCSB instead. It’s a good school too, and more in your range.</p>

<p>UCLA is gonna be harder to get into being OOS. I think its a reach.

<p>UCLA: high match/ low reach
I hope you get in, but I think the low number of APs and GPA is not helping you. Your test sores are great though! I would suggest looking into UCSB, UCI, and UCD as well. I would look into transferring to UCLA (I don’t know their admissions on transfers.) </p>
