Hey guys! I'm a sophmore in high school and my dream college is UCLA. My freshman GPA unweighted is a 3.76 but I'm not sure if my sophmore gpa will be better. I haven't taken my PSAT yet..going to take it soon. Any advice on how to make my application stand or how to get into UCLA? Thanks!

Take APs, keep GPA high, stunning ECs, top SATs.

Assuming you’re at a CA high school, also look into going to Community College after high school and applying as a junior transfer.

Here are the Stats for UCLA’s In-coming Freshman 2014:

What you want to do is strive for at least the average GPA and test scores or above. Your High school rigor, EC’s and essays will come into play on your application, so you want to do your best and show some passion in all you do the next 2 years.

If you fall short of your goal, like @Happy2Help stated above, you can go to a CC and then transfer your Junior year. Remember there are a lot of good schools in California and throughout the US. It is nice to have a dream, but keep your options open.
