<p>Stats are higher at UConn, Syracuse takes a slightly lesser % of students admitted.</p>
<p>SAT’s scores are higher for UConn and the admission rate for Uconn is actually lower than Syracuse or has been for the past couple years that I can see. </p>
<p>Does anyone know if there’s a possibility people on the wait list hear back before “late May”? </p>
<p>I’d doubt you will see much of anything before the commitment date of 5/1. After that they will dribble as people hear from wait lists and the trickle down effect gets back to UCONN. Good luck.</p>
<p>Have any homeschoolers heard whether they have been accepted?? I spoke to an admissions counselor last Monday and after finally locating my daughter’s file, I was told that her transcript still needed to be reviewed by a senior associate director!! This is crazy.</p>
<p>Heard that H.S. principal had a discussion on the process with someone in Admissions and was told that the UConn Storrs branch accepted 400 less students this year for the fall freshman class.</p>
<p>So they can publish a lower acceptance rate and then they will fill the class off the waitlist. Instant hike in rankings! </p>

<p>My son’s status on the portal changed today, too. From Waitlist hearing at the end of May, to “check back in 24 hours”. </p>

<p>Ours changed to ACCEPTED!!! so I’m guessing if you got that “check back” you will see an acceptance today

<p>I’d bet it has more to do with controlling yield. I have read that they have had more people wanting to live on campus lately than rooms to accommodate them all. </p>

My D is on waiting list and is very confused as to why she wasn’t accepted the first round 3.8gpa, NatHonorSoc, FrenchHonorSoc, many, many xtracurriculars. In at Syracuse, U of Vermont, Ithaca, UNCW all with merit $. on waitlist at Marist.</p>
<p>My son was accepted after being wait listed. Applied for Engineering but was only offered ACES at Storrs. Not sure if this is good or not. Will see what they offer when we get the letter. Is it possible to get back into the engineering program from ACES? </p>
