earlygraduate, what were your stats?

I had a 3.2 GPA. I scored a 1060? on my SAT'S out of 1600. (I don't remember the exact number but it was around there. And I guess that's it.

Do you feel that the fact that you are a minority is the reason you got in?

I got in just like u so does it really matter?

I'm officially ending this conversation it's stupid. You're just trying to put me down. Grow up.

Earlygrad let me prepare you for one thing about uconn. Students aren't positive after the first months. All you will hear is moans and groans about how much life and classes suck. And you yourself will take part in this, everyone goes in excited, but once classes kick in and kick you, you change your mind. But good luck next week, you will love it.

Would u consider me borderline? or do I have no chance, I will def raise my gpa the first quarter of senior year, but will Uconn look at that?

If u send it I believe they will look at it.

I feel the energy around uconn has been misrepresented on this thread. Certainly the swears and bitter language by Omniscient1 did not help prove his point. However I believe the core of his message is to be ready for a denial from uconn storrs, but you should also take early graduate's message to heart. Since you have low stats, you need to prove to them that you are a complex person that will add worth to uconn's community. You can show them this through your essay, or like earlygraduate through leadership seminars. You may want to showcase your special talent in a movie or cd. On ivy league apps. they have a special sec. for this. You may also want to take tours of the college, and get in contact with an admiss. rep. Your ecs should show committement and interest. For example, I volunteered over 800 hours of my time at a local hospital, and held numerous leadership positions. If you show complexity through your essays, ecs, you will have a better shot at Uconn.
