UCR Beartracks orientation...

Is beartracks for transfer students only?

What is it like and what do I bring?

Does it include a lot of walking in the hot sun? Do we ever get to just sit in an air-conditioned room?

How important is it that I attend beartracks as a transfer?

I'm asking because it's been stupid crazy hot in LA these days and beartracks is starting September 6th and I dunno if the weather's gonna let up or not.

Yes BearTracks if for transfer students only.

It's like any other orientation if that makes sense. If I'm mistaken, the BearTracks website may suggest what to bring for the 2 days.

Not at a lot of walking imo and yes you will sit in a room.

Yes, attend for your own success. It is just one day of the month anyways.

Considering how freaking hot it is now, I don't think it will start letting up until the end of September, so stay hydrated :)

Another point, Give your counselor an easy time unless s/he really sucks. Participate! I don't know how different it is from regular Bear Facts but we're in the sun together so :)

Are the counselors for BearTracks our Admissions Counselors?

No, they are students for the most part. You'll have sessions with important administration throught your day(s) there.
