I recently got accepted to these schools as a business major and I need help deciding which school to go to. I know neither school is prestigious or anything, but that aside can anyone give me their opinion as to which might be the better school to attend with regards to academics as well as the social life within the schools? Any given knowledge, advice, opinion would be much appreciated.

Have you visited any of these schools? That will give you a better feel.

Hi,

I have two cousins going to CSULB. One is majoring for nursing, and the other is undecided. Both of them enjoy the school as far as I can tell, because they are active in the sorority life. Their social life seems to be good; I often see pictures of them partying. I have no clue about their academics, but I am sure it is challenging for the nursing program since getting into the nursing program for CSULB is hard. I think it would depend on your major and how naturally smart you are as well if you can stay focused on your academics. I would have applied to CSF for business over CSULB.

Both UCR and SJSU have unranked business schools. I do not really know much about either of the places or schools, so that is all I can tell you.

Good luck!

@crizello - I plan on visiting the schools this month to get the feel of the campuses first hand, I just wanted to hear what others had to say.

@AinaChan - I actually did apply to CSF, but I haven’t heard back from them yet so I don’t know (I think they might be waiting to see if other students that did get admitted decide not to go)… I heard they have a good business program but I’ll have to wait and see what their final decision is.

I’m actually in an a similiar position as I am also a Business Major but instead I chose SJSU over Fullerton simply because it’s only 3 hours away from home versus 8 in Fullerton and because it’s in the sillicon valley and offers alot of internships and opportunities after graduation. I have a couple friends who go to SJSU and they say that students are very friendly and welcoming. Everyone in the hall keeps their doors open so you can just come in and hang out ahah. I visited the campus and it gave me a really good feelings because it felt relaxing. You should visit the campuses yourself to get your own vibes though. Good luck!
