If someone got accepted to some lower UC’s such as UCR UCSC ect… and to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, which one would be the better choice? Ive heard Cal PolySLO is pretty tough to get into. I will apply to all the UC’s and with my weak stats (3.7ucgpa no Ap’s) Ill probably get into UCR.
So my question is if i was accepted to UCR or UCSC and CalPolySLO which would be the better school to go to?

Wow, that's amazing. Is CALPlySLO easier to get into than even the lower UC's? What are my chances for SLO? I have a 3.7(UC) decent Ec's, SAT's (old scale) projected 1100 min to 1300 max

This year, Cal Poly SLO had a 38% acceptance rate overall. Acceptance rate is tied to your major (there is no undeclared option). Certain majors are more difficult than others (ie engineering is pretty competitive).

It's hard to say unless you say what your major is.

I made davis and irvine on a political science major. Poly sci is typically one of the most competitive majors in social science you can choose... but then again everyone these days wants to do bio :P.

actually youre right but there is 8,833 UCB admits 396 cross admits 48 % choose CalPoly and you can assume it a given that the other 8437 admits did not choose CalPoly(they didnt bother to apply) which means the actual real life percent is 2% as any person could believe.

that group is too small to draw any conclusions from 109, there is no way too know if they choose the school for other reasons ie scared of workload, staying closer to home and such with have nothing to do with Calpoly, Like dating an ugly girl because its convenient and care free.

It's too easy to get into and the location isn't very good hot and smoggy. From what I've read a few years ago they decided to expand the campus and the only way they could do that was to lower the standards of admission so as a result they admit people who shouldn't be going to a UC.
