ucr to ucla med school

UCLA med without MCAT?
no way.

Hey CC!
The Thomas Haider Program is a part of UCR and will be for the years to come. We will be starting our own Medical School in 2012, however the actual medical facility will not completed till much later. The Thomas Haider Program will coexist with UCR's Medical School program. Right now I am uncertain about the numbers of students that will enter the 2012 class of UCR's Medical School, however the 24 spots will continue to be open every year for the Thomas Haider Program.

(phs, i work for ucr. ;) )

Most pharmacy schools don’t even require you to major in anything pharmacy related, just as long as you take their pre-reqs. But for more competitive schools (USC, UCSD, UCSF), they might recommend you to get your BS or BA.
You can do the pre-reqs in two years and transfer to a Pharm. school and start working as a pharmacist after 4 years.

The Haider program is good though, you only compete with fellow UCR students

isn’t the applicant pool around, 250 students?

or is it bigger…

wow you guys are reviving alot of topics. But I heard its super competitive since i bet the quazillion pre med students @ UCR want in
