Hi everyone! Does anyone know what the exact criteria is to receive regents? Is it GPA based only ? I have around a 3.8 and didn’t receive anything. Side note, my financial aid was somewhat decent so maybe that’s a factor? Thanks! Btw, I don’t mean to come off smug or anything, I’m genuinely curious on how the selection process works.
are you OOS? @rainingliquid27 it says that only California residents can receive it…other than that it just says
“Based on your academic achievements, you have been chosen by our faculty to receive the University of California, Riverside’s most prestigious award, the Regents Scholarship! As a Regents Scholar, you will receive an award of $5,000 per year for a total of two years ($10,000 total) as long as you attend UC Riverside and meet the annual requirements.”

This blog was fairly helpful for me; hope it is for you as well.
Admitted!
Received my financial aid award on Friday and acceptance today.
Major: Economics/Administrative Studies
GPA: 3.64
Pre-reqs: Completed by Fall 2017.
IGETC: Completed
Tag: No
Accepted: UCR, UCSB
Pending: UCB, UCLA, UCI, UCSD, UCD, UCSC
I won’t be attending this school since the program at UCSB is much better for what I want to do and my financial aid award was a tad bit more generous. Good luck to all
what are the chances of having my major switched to Biology after being admitted as a psych major??
Very very Interesting
Major: Computer Science
GPA: 3.35
all Requirments and major preprations: Yes
Tagged: Yes
Decision: REJECTED
Does anyone know if they look at personal insight questions for deciding if a student receives regents or not? Or is it strictly based off of academic achievement?
I still haven’t gotten accepted, but I got invited to Highlander Day? Does this have any correlation to a possible acceptance?
@TransferCS Did you ever get an answer as to why?
Counselor from UCR is supposed to call me today.
I am very disappointed about it.
no, i got invited too but rejected
Has anyone SIR to UCR yet? If so, how much was the deposit?
found the reason:
Reason: C’s in Calculas series
@TransferCS That really sucks, man. I’m sorry
