Is not having Stats done before Fall that detrimental to my application? There is a chance I can get it done in the Winter Intersession(The class will end before January 31st) but there is also a chance that I will have to take it in the Spring. Am I completely screwed for UCSB as well as the other UC’s or is there still a chance? I’ve heard UCSB is notorious for being a stickler on Transferable math done before Spring. I’m also applying to UCSD, UCI, UCSC, UC Merced & UC Riverside
Major: English
Pre Reqs: Complete
GPA: 3.3/ Probably 3.4 at the end of Fall 2016.
IGETC: Done in the Spring 2017.
Thanks!
It looks like you are taking Stats for IGETC. Is this correct?

I’ve asked the same question. Because on the official website, it is written
“All campuses recommend that you complete math and English as early as possible (some highly recommend completing them by the end of the fall term, one year prior to enrolling at UC)”
But there is one person who had the opposite experience.
“I wouldn’t stress about it. I got into all the UCs I applied to while having my transferrable math class in the spring.”
So I wouldn’t stress about it either
For IGETC, there are other options. Hoping that same courses are provided at your college: Pre-Calculus, College Mathematics, Intro Stats, Stats, or Calculus. Any UC transferable math courses will fulfill IGETC. Check if the course is UC transferable and guided by your college IGETC.
So don’t sweat thinking you have to take Stats only. There are other courses that might fit your Fall schedule. Finish it if you can
