UCs~ I dropped a class, how to report

I've written letters for each Uc I have applied to to report that I have dropped a class.

Do I need to write the reason why I dropped the class? I have, but I'm not sure whether or not to include it.

My class was from 4-6pm, and I dropped it in order to join the badminton team, do you think the schools would see this as a valid enough reason, and not take it against me?

It depends what class you dropped. If you dropped an elective or a class like ceramics or woodshop it wouldn't matter. However, if you dropped an AP or something they'd probably want to know why.

thank you!

Please don't rely on information you get on this -- or any message board. If you aren't sure about something, contact the campus directly. Below is the text from the Applicant FAQ on the myberkeley web site

It very clearly states that you much contact them if you add or drop any course after submitting your application -- and it doesn't say we don't care about certain courses. It says if you change any course -- and they very specifically state that misinformation can result in cancellation of your application. They may not care that you drop a course but they do care if you don't tell them.

Q: I added (or dropped or changed) my coursework after submitting my application. Do I need to let you know?
Q: I have recently had a grade changed by one of my teachers/instructors/professors. Will this affect my application or my chances of admission?
A: You must let us know, in writing, about any changes to your courses or grades by mail or fax. Please send your signed letter to:
