I got accepted by UCSB today. That's kinda weird because I called them and told me to cancel my application AND didn't pay the $50 application fee after I got into Dartmouth last December. The same thing happened with UCLA too! No wonder California's higher education is a mess; they let kids into their schools who haven't even paid for their applications!

So you... effectively... stole my spot? :(

Hahaha just kidding. I wouldn't have gotten into UCLA anyway. :p

yeah, funny you should bring that up. I actually feel hella bad because a bunch of people I know didn't get in. And a lot of them had WAY better stats than me too. Weird.

Yeah I came to school today and people were super mad that they didn't get into UCLA. I got in and like five or six other people got in but its funny because none of the people who got in (including myself) have no serious intentions of attending UCLA. Only one of us is seriously considering it.

King, it was the same way at my school today, especially b/c some dude with a 3.6 and 1180 got in over like 40 4.0-5.0 students and kids with higher SATs(including me, yeah I got rejected, but its like whatever) got rejected, but yeah about 8 students in my class got in. Got accpeted to UCSB today also. Want to see whatll happen with Berkeley tho.

I applied to UCSB UCSD and UCB with little or not intention of attending I really have my heart set on a small college and the uc's are huge!!

yah i got into UCSB too. Go gauchos! whoo hoo. jk. did you apply and get into Irivine's CHP program? I guess I got into San Diego's Medical School Undergraduate Honor's Program, BUT I did'nt even apply as a pre-med or say anywhere that I wanted to go into medicine. Its soooo random.

DO you want to go into medicine?

Congrats to the UCLA acceptees. Anyone know the new acceptance rate? UCLA says 42,000 thousand applied for a class of 4300, but they don't say how many were accepted.

I'm waiting for Berkeley decision with the rest of you, but UCLA has a lower acceptance rate, so I'm not as worried. If I recall correctly, the UC's go on a point system of acceptance, so if you got the points for UCLA, you probably got the same points for Berkeley. But I'm just assuming of course.

traditionally its been about 20-23%, i think

this was a good year for my school. Everybody but one person i know who applied got in...so far we know of about 20 people who got in and im sure there are more that we dont know about. the last two years we've sent about 4-5 people to UCLA.

Nah, I don't wanna go into medicine. Never have I even considered it, except for a short stint (haha) where I wanted to be a pharmacist.

I'm soooo screwed, I have to finish my Basketball Bracket by 8 tonight and I haven't started.

lol yeah i could never be a doctor...though pharmacists are making good money. did you know that a pharmacist starting at Rite Aid makes 70,000?

i got scared for a second b/c it's currently 8:00...then I remembered you're in california. come on, hands! you've got 3 hours lol

Rite Aid, dang. Hmm...I've only got half of my bracket down...dang, if only i strongly thought a team could for sure win the championship...23 mins left
