Is interview a significant factor at UCSB</p>

I have upward trend GPA, and took 2 Comminity college courses over the summer to help boost UC gpa, got A in both, and I have a decent SAT (2100), but I am scared that that won’t even come close to making up for my awful UC gpa (3.6)… I have what I believe to be an excellent essay, and good letters of rec</p>
<p>UCSB is more holisitic than a lot of the other UC’s, so good essays would definitely help. The UC’s unfortunately do not accept letters of recommendation. Good Luck and all you can do is hope for the best.</p>
