Good thing is we’ve all been accepted somewhere right?
Still pending here too. I wonder how many applications they respond to per day since that’s how often they send them.
Has anyone who has been accepted received an email or anything yet?
@plebsunite I was accepted on the first day and have not received a single email from Santa Barbara since January.
Accepted today!
I got in as an Electrical Engineering major. No Financial Aid packages yet though, and that’s the main thing I’m waiting for haha.
Just got accepted between 3 and 4:25pm today!
Major: Pre-Communication
GPA: 4.0
TAG: Yes
IGETC: will be complete after this spring semester
Prerequisites: only completed the ones on Assist that my school offered
EC: internships, joined a couple of clubs on campus, wrote for the campus newspaper, volunteered at an animal shelter
Transferring from a community college in LA county.
Mt sac?
Anyone pending, does your financial aid status still say the date received?
@Cheolf Thanks for answering. I was also accepted on the first day and still no sort of admissions email, I did however get a financial aid email like a few minutes ago so thats something.
@plebsunite I came back on to say the exact same thing, haha. They’re monitoring these forums, guys! %-(
That’s weird; that is definitely not the emoji I used!
I finally received an email too! I also hadn’t heard from them since January
I read your post about visiting Berkeley on the other thread. Glad you enjoyed your visit! I haven’t had the chance to visit SB yet so i’m looking forward to reading about your experience @Cheolf
I would also like to ask if anyone has taken business calculus and if ou think its easy or not? Which would be easier pre calc or business calc
Yes @Cheolf you’ll come back and give us your impressions of it, right? I like your UC tour this week, I wish I could do something similar, although I’ve visited UCLA a few times as I live in the county. You’ll love it, hopefully. I like it only a bit less than Cal’s campus, but no one beats that imo.
Does anyone know how the federal pell grant works? Do you have to apply for it individually like the state grants or do you automatically get listed for federal pell grant when you do FAFSA?
@topchoiceschool I received a Pell Grant by filling out the FAFSA
That’s the federal grant right? I got that too. I also filled out a form for the Cal Grant, is that something different?
@topchoiceschool you will automatically be considered for it if you filled out your fafsa. for example all I filled out was fafsa and cal grant gpa verification and UCSB has unofficially offered me cal and pell grant in their letter, along with the school grant.
@ananguiano Yeah in did all of that too. For some reason, my SB’s financial aid only lists their schools grant and the federal pell grant. My state grant says 0.
