HA! I knew it! Did everyone get the email from UCSB saying the other email they sent of FRIDAY did NOT guarantee acceptance? I did, which either means I'm not in, which I kept on saying, or they're just sending another mass email....grr....

Well, I guess we have to fret after all....dammit...

edit: here's the letter...lemme know if you got and whether you're accepted/pending/rejected....thanks...

yeah then they sent this email to us, the admitted, to further clarify.
or did you guys get it too?

Dear janethedoe,

UC Santa Barbara is a campus rich in tradition and academic excellence. Faculty at UCSB enjoy working with undergraduate students, who make up the majority of our student population. To help students understand what UCSB has to offer, we want to take a moment to share information on academic advising and support services geared at undergraduates.

Academic advising is offered in multiple locations: Academic Departments; in one of the 3 colleges: College of Letters and Science, College of Engineering, or College of Creative Studies; and through our mentor program (mentors are professional staff on campus assigned to students by grade level). Students are encouraged to use all their resources to help them succeed academically.

To help students transition into UCSB’s quarter system we offer tutorial assistance through the Campus Learning Assistance Services ( CLAS). Drop in session for math and writing are available or students can sign up for smaller classes in most courses. All CLAS services are free to students!

Advising starts with summer Orientation. All newly admitted students will be invited to register for Orientation in mid-May. Academic advising, information about campus resources, and instructions on the UCSB registration process are all topics covered during Orientation.

For additional resources we hope you will take a moment to review your selected major or college at UCSB.

aww thank you nicolles and shinnnn so much!
sorry shinnn about the bad news
dont worry, you will do great where ever you choose to go.
good luck

i know they made a mistake with the email, but anyone else but me find it a bit humbling (not an English major, so if a word is better feel free to add) for them to actually send a follow up email,…its pretty cool of them to do that instead of the rejected just being notified after a transfer-housing email

yeah. i guess you’re right, but that kind of HAD to do that after sending out that email lol. And I heard that people on admissions committees read these forums…don’t you feel bad if there is some poor guy that has to sift through all our neurotic obsessive conversations every day haha

It was humble and professional of them to send out a clarification message – mistakes are fine so long as you admit fault (and don’t make the same mistake six hundred trillion times, haha)
