UCSB-How to appeal the non-acceptance of a transfer class for graduation requirement?

My daughter was notified that her New Student Profile was complete for her transfer to UCSB. She stated that they accepted all of the courses that she thought would be accepted, even those she wasn't 100% sure about since they were taken at a Cal State with no articulation agreement.

However, she did take a class at CSUDH that was accepted for credit but was not applied to the American History and Institutions requirements, as she thought it would be. It was a Chicano Studies class that she said the description firs right in to a class in the UCSB catalog.

Does anyone have an idea how she would appeal this decision? She looked on-line...and so did I, but we could not find anything.

Thanks

You’re going to want to contact UC Santa Barbara’s Academic Senate by writing a letter appealing this:

https://senate.ucsb.edu/bylaws.and.regulations/division/Part_I/Chapter_III/Section_3/92.cfm

Hmmm, off the top of my head I would not think Chicano Studies would fulfill American History requirement. But she can certainly try to appeal. I could be wrong.
