I want to become a CPA and I'm going to transfer schools soon. I'm considering UCSB but it's not AACSB accredited?

UCSB is not listed in business or business and accounting (AACSB Business and Accounting Accreditation).

To become a CPA and eventually work for one of the Big4, does the accreditation matter?

AACSB accreditation I believe is most important for graduate MBA programs…are you thinking of UCSB for graduate school?

I wouldn’t worry too much about it if undergrad.

I am planning to go to UCSB for undergrad then get a MAcc. Thank you!

Does UCSB offer an undergrad business degree with accounting option? I don’t think they do…and I don’t think UCSB has a grad biz school. That’s most likely the reason why they aren’t accredited.

UCSB has a good economics program.

They had an business econ major that has been changed to an economics and accounting major

I see. I wouldn’t worry about the accreditation for undergrad. They could be workong on it too if they just started offering the degree. A UCSB degree is reputable.

I’d make sure your future masters program is accredited
