I made the mistake of thinking I would have a lot of time to make a final decision about where I'll be transfering to by telling both UCSB and SJSU that I would be attending in the fall. Now UCSB wants my housing contract in on Saturday so I need to make a choice. I love UCSB and it has a great Anthropology program. SJSU is so much cheaper though and I want to go to grad school so the less undergraduate debt the better, right? I don't have an official financial aid award from either and I don't even have an unofficial award letter from SJSU to go off of. So is it better to go to the better school with the better program or the school that is cheaper? Thank you!

If money is a issue go to the cheaper college but i think you should choose the one you like more, cuz who wants to be miserable for 4 years of their life, thinking - ‘’ what if i had chosen to go to … instead ‘’ You go to college to learn of course but having fun is really important so if you don’t like SJSU as much as you like UCSB don’t choose SJSU.

Almost everyone I know who has gone to UCSB loves the place.

One thing to keep in mind: ppl lots of time think they’re going to go to grad school, and then for various reasons, don’t.
