UCSB or UCSD? Need Advice...

I have recently been rescinded from UCLA for receiving poor grades for my last semester at my CC. So I have to make a choice real quick.

1) Stay at my CC for another year and reapply.

2) Transfer to UCSB as a Mathematical Sciences major.

3) Transfer to UCSD as a Computer Science & Engineering major.

I want advice from people who are attending either school. Considering academics and social life, which of these two would be the better school to attend.

I am interested in Computer Science, so if I decide to attend UCSD, I will switch my major to just plain Computer Science. If I attend UCSB, I will not be able to get the computer science major, BUT I will try to switch into the Economics/Mathematics major because you do not need to take as many upper division courses for the major as my current major for UCSB does (40 upper divs compared to 56 required for Mathematical Sciences). I will use most of the extra 16 division units to take classes in comp sci.
I also want to go to a school where I can enjoy myself on the weekends, party, go to the beach, etc. I know that UCSB blows UCSD away when it comes to partying, but I want to know from people who have attended UCSD to tell me their opinion on this. I also want to hear from people who have attended UCSB what their opinion is too. Has anyone regretted attending either of the two schools?

So, considering all aspects, which is the better OVERALL school to attend, and why?

Thanks a lot, I really would appreciate all the advice you can give.

Why not just apply again for UCLA?

If you were rescinded to UCLA because of poor grades, how could you then SIR to UCSB and UCSD and not get rescinded to them?

I would personally prefer UCSD.

Because I don’t really want to stay at my CC for another year. And UCSD and UCSD told me that I still would not get rescinded…

Sorry, UCSD and UCSB*
