I’m undecided between the two, going in as an Econ Major, leaning towards UCSB
My main concerns are: is there enough internships at ucsb? UCSD is better acadmically but just by the smallest of margins,
Why I would choose UCSB: Social, Frat houses( thinking of joining one), everyone I’ve talked to about UCSB loves it and I can’t say the same for UCSD,
Why I would choose UCSD: Academically better, more opportunity in San Diego, I feel like the general Ed would be easier,
Sadly both schools have their welcome days on the same date , April 9th,
Which Econ program is better ? Which one is easier?
If the academics are really that close I would go with UCSB. I’ve heard only good things about going there and it sounds like you’re really excited about this. Additional resources:

both schools are good, but it sounds like you prefer UCSD. You don’t want to be a college senior and wishing you had more opportunity for internships or regret that you sacrificed a better education.
UCSD’s Econ department is pretty strong, there’s even a Nobel laureate on the faculty right now. It’s supposed to be fairly math-intensive and more research-oriented than other econ programs. If you’re gonna join a frat the social life will be great at both universities: UCSD frat houses exist, they’re just spread around the city. And if it helps, I’m one of many UCSD students that loves it here.
Which college were you accepted to at UCSD? Some will have more GE requirements than others.
thanks deadpoolz!!! leaning towards ucsb but its close
MikeMac, that is true…
DoctorP, I got accepted into Warren, love the fact that it only requires two classes of writing! I know ucsd has frat life, but they don’t have a frat row
