Hi all! I currently attend Ucsb but I want to transfer to uci. I know that UC’s put CC students as a priority so would I even have a chance? My GPA is around 3.0 and I would be applying as an education major.
Any experiences and advice regarding uc to uc transfers will be helpful! Thank you
Your GPA does not seem competitive at all compared to first time transfer students’ GPA, and like you said, they get priority, therefore, it is very unlikely you will get accepted.
What would be considered a competitive GPA? because I know that not many people apply as education majors. So would that be more beneficial to me?

@Manor21 How long have you been at UCSB? What major are you applying for?
@justinmega1 it’s a beautiful school but ucsb provides a very limited amount of majors to choose from. I’m really not interested in anything they offer so I want to transfer.
