I cant decide which school to go to.
My mom is paying for the whole thing and can afford wherever.
But i would like to make the college cheaper if possible.
I got 13k from Furman
7k from Rhodes and none from the others..

I wanna have fun but i wanna make sure i dont get lost in UCSB but it has the best name..
I like Rhodes a lot but i feel that the 1600 kids will drive me crazy after a couple years..
Furman may be to strict, Christian for me..
Elon- does it have a good name recognition? i wanna get the best job coming out of college

My sense is that UCSB, Furman and Rhodes are the strongest of your list. I like Furman a great deal - it’s beautiful, friendly, and well-run. It’s no longer affiliated with the Baptists, but as you can imagine, many of the students are active in religious organizations. The Furman name has good cachet in the Southeast, but is less known elsewhere. At < 20,000 students, UCSB is actually fairly moderate in size among the top UCs. I don’t have first-hand experience with Rhodes, but you may want to PM Curmudgeon, whose D just graduated from there.

Considering they all have different COA, maybe you could tell us which one is the least expensive (or list each as to how much you have to pay?)

Try this calculator. It lets you include non-financial data as well as financial information and it might help you figure out some more questions to ask about each of them.

If you are concerned about job placement from Elon, it is Ok to pick up the phone and give the career center there a quick ring. The staff there will be happy to tell about where their students end up.

I just visited USD and I REALLLY REALLY loved it! the campus was beautiful and everything had a great feel for it. The business program is in the top 35 in the country and has the highest employment rate in the San Diego area (in comparison to SDS or UCSD). I would def consider it–the classes are small and the teachers are very into their lessons and students since they are actually teachers not researches (which si sometimes the case in big universities) Hope I helped! best of luck!
