@Jehkobe I completely agree with @nattycat66 if you have already decided that you would not go to UCSB you should send them an email or call the admission office to ask to be taken of. I am on two wait lists, and to hear that you want to stay on simply for the sake of it(and your frequent activity on this forum only tells me that you are just staying on the wait list to see if you were accepted) saddens me. Your decision to just stay on the wait list literally affects everyone on it. If they were to accept you then that means that another applicant will have to wait longer to hear back. If that said applicant is on a wait list at another school and they happen to get off the wait list there(since it seems as though all the other schools are starting to release them except UCSB) and they decide to put down another non refundable deposit at the new school(not to mention the non refundable housing deposit) then you are costing them. In this scenario you are looking at 3 different non refundable deposits and 3 non refundable housing deposits. You are costing other applicants thousands of dollars by staying on the wait list. Do all of us that REALLY REALLY REALLY want to attend a favor, get off of the wait list.
Do you guys know the approximate time period that the waitlist results are coming out? The suspense is seriously killing me right now.
These few months of waiting have honestly been so hard. I hope they come out tonight.
@coffeelife On their twitter they said “they’re anticipating releasing waitlist decisions in the middle of the month.” I think it will be sometime this week
Today is not the day 
nothing has changed on my portal.
So… I guess we can look at this as we have survived one more day under the pain, anguish, and torture of the dreaded wait list. I’m counting down the days until the vague “mid May”.
I think every uc except irvine and santa barbara came out with waitlist… why do they wanna torture us? Either tomorrow or friday, probably.
This would be terrible but what if sb and irvine isn’t letting off anyone off the waitlist this year?
@metalmonk28 I heard that the schools had problems with the budget, so thats why they put so many people on the WL. I hope it comes out soon!
