One more day I guess sigh hope it’s worth the wait. Son has other good options, but I kind of like UCSC best as I feel that he would fit there really well. Not my decision but just my opinion.

its really bothering me that UCSC hasn’t gotten back to me even though I already SIR to davis…what is taking them so damn long

I spoke to admissions yesterday after waiting on the phone for 28 minutes and they said that they had still hundreds of apps to read and review and that they had been putting in overtime to read them all. The woman said that it may be likely they will extend the deadline past April 30th to read them all and provide an admission decision. However, I’m not concerned with UCSC anymore since I got into UCB for biochemistry.

@kizzle89 congrats to you and thank you for the info- wonder why they are so far behind- ??? guess we don’t need to keep checking every few hours anymore, it could be weeks then… not sure he will be able to wait too much more because needs to sir and obtain housing at either UCSB or UCD…
@wecandothis I have no idea. To be quite honest it is asinine that they are still reading and haven’t made decisions considering how small of an applicant pool they have compared to places like CAL and LA. They probably do not have as many readers though. They should have at least sent an email out stating that they were unable to meet their deadline if they are not going to post decisions today.
Thanks for the info. It would have been nice to know this through the school. Some of us are still waiting. I would want UCSC to update me on this kind of stuff. I kind of feel like those saved for last may not have that high of chances because they are losing space in general. Am I right?
